TPS Group of Companies is currently seeking a:

INDUSTRIAL TRAINER(S):

NATT Safety Services is excited to hire a Safety Trainer/Instructor to join our rapidly growing Training & Consulting team. Once fully trained, the Safety Trainer/Instructor will be working with trainees, teaching them the fundamentals of various safety standards including, but not limited to, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and Awareness, Power Elevator Work Platform, Overhead Crane Operator Training, Hoisting and Rigging, Ladder Safety, Propane Handling, Heaters & Torches Training, Spill Containment and Fire Extinguisher Training, Fire Watch, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and many more. The Safety Trainer/Instructor will be expected to participate in the design, creation, development, and implementation of various training initiatives to ensure the ongoing success of the NATT Safety program delivery.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Creating a positive learning environment that accommodates the diverse culture of the client audience
Utilizing principles of adult learning to actively engage participants in the learning process
Delivering engaging training programs using presentation software and hands-on demonstration equipment
Working independently and demonstrating initiative
Communicating effectively with participants, clients, and the management team
Provide consultation services when required
Prepare, administer, and mark tests for required training certifications
Assist in gathering and analyzing information to design
Develop curriculum and prepare teaching materials for safety training as required
Perform training needs analysis by assessing the skill level, performance, and competence of each trainee
Work in accordance with training standards established within the company
Track and update employee training data by using the different training platforms


EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent communication skills (French and English), both oral and written is an asset but not required
A bachelor’s degree, a college diploma or demonstrated expertise in the field of instruction
Ability to clearly present information through presentation
Minimum of 1-year experience in training background, or equivalent experience Certificate in “Train the Trainer” program would be an asset
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team


SKILLS:

Required experience
Train the Trainer Qualifications in programs such as Work at Heights, Confined Space Entry is an asset
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize demands
Experience working with Microsoft Windows, Office
